Our Story

Precision fasteners, engineered since 1990

H R Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. is a complete-range manufacturer of industrial fasteners, headquartered at Sankrail Industrial Park, Howrah, West Bengal. The business has operated since 1990 — originally as a proprietorship — and was brought under the private limited company for manufacturing operations in 2023.

We manufacture HSFG bolting assemblies, lock bolts & collars, axle end cap screws, hex bolts, nuts, and plain & spring washers across cold forging (up to M30) and hot forging operations (above M30), with integrated heat treatment, hot dip galvanizing, zinc electroplating and zinc phosphate coating.

Production is governed by IS, IRS, ASTM and DIN standards and certified to ISO 9001:2015. We hold three active RDSO approvals and are a long-standing PGCIL-approved supplier of hot dip galvanized fasteners.

Our Infrastructure

State-of-the-art facilities equipped with imported machinery and partnerships with leading global manufacturers such as National and San Shing.

Two Units

Unit I for cold & hot nut forging; Unit II for wire processing, bolt forging, heat treatment & surface coating.

Imported Machinery

Multi-station forging lines from San Shing (Taiwan), National (USA/Germany), Sakamura (Japan) and GB Header (UK).

NABL-Accredited Lab

In-house Physical & Chemical lab accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 with 40T UTM and a German spectrometer.

Plant & Machinery

An integrated chain across two units — forging, wire processing, heat treatment, threading and surface finishing, all in-house.

Unit I — Forging & Nuts

  • Multi-station cold nut forging — San Shing (Taiwan) & National (USA/Germany)
  • Hot forging presses up to 200 MT (above M30)
  • Tapping & hydraulic roll-threading up to M80
  • In-house spring-washer manufacturing

Unit II — Bolts, HT & Coating

  • Cold bolt forging — Sakamura (Japan), GB Header (UK), National
  • Wire drawing & pointing, trimming, roll-threading
  • Heat treatment — shaker hearth, mesh-belt, rotary & pit furnaces
  • Surface coating — HDG, zinc plating, zinc phosphate

Quality You Can Trace

End-to-End Traceability

Every consignment can be traced back to its raw-material heat number — from incoming steel to the test certificate that ships with your order.

  • Raw material colour-coding — incoming wire rod and bar are segregated and colour-coded by SAE grade (SAE 1008, 1010, 1018, 1022, 10B33, 10B21, 15B25, 4140 / 41Cr4).
  • Heat-number marking — each bar carries its heat / cast number, retained through forging so finished lots map to a specific steel heat.
  • NABL-traceable testing — mechanical & chemical results are issued from our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited in-house laboratory.
  • Batch tagging & dispatch — every bag and box carries an HRSIPL packing tag with grade, size, lot and order reference for full despatch traceability.
